A poem #3 – We used to be in love.

We used to be in love.

We used to stand on the porch, and watch the wind caress the leaves,
and the moonlight floated down like silk through the leaves.
We used to love each other, we used to be in love.

Now we stand on the porch, and watch the wind shake the trees,
and the moon burns down on us through skies of gasoline.
We used to love each other. We used to be in love.
