A poem #34 – Grinning mouths

We cower in the spotlight of life,
afraid of the encroaching dark.
Amidst a sea of grinning mouths,
and the unnerving silence of their laugh.
Mocking lips, and taunting smiles,
wearing away all that we hold dear.
To live our lives to the full,
we must break free of this fear.
