A poem #56 – Tending to…

Just as the night’s breeze tends to an ember,
I tend to you,
to keep your flame from burning out,
your heart glowing through.

And as the moon bends low in the sky
and tends to the sea,
you pull me closer, closer still
and then you set me free.
