A poem #68 – Walking forever along…

I left work one lunchtime
and walked through town,
each foot in turn
loosening my frown.
Past the old church
and the babbling stream,
and under the gaze
of the autumn trees.
Finally a moment
brings a smile to my face,
making vibrant memories
of this resplendent place.
With birds flying high
in the soft wind’s song,
I would walk all day if I could,
forever along.

  1. Refreshingly beautiful! “With birds flying high in the soft wind’s song,I would walk all day if I could,
forever along.”–so much of celestial beauty in these lines….just love it.
